In 1917 in Fatima, Portugal, thousands reported seeing Our Lady standing with two children from May through October. During this span of apparitions, Our Lady often asked for special prayers for peace and conversion for sinners. The miracle associated with this particular event is known as “the dancing sun” – where it appeared that the sun was spinning rapidly around itself before suddenly stopping dead still.

Miracle Cure at Saints Peter & Paul Basilica

At Saints Peter & Paul Basilica in Rome in 1594, Pope Clement VIII had a paralytic leg healed after invoking Mary’s intercession while praying before an image of Mary's Assumption into Heaven. This event has gone down in history as one of the earliest approved miracles attested by Catholic Church authorities in modern times.

Multiplication Miracle of Loaves and Fishes

In another miracle consistent with those recounted in biblical texts such as those written about Jesus Christ himself, Mary again showed divine intervention during the Loaves and Fishes miracle at St Euphemia's Monastery on Mt Athos in 1634.
